MGTF have very important series that could represent the narrative history of Malaysia fine art. A bunch of important 77 pieces of paintings from Frank Sillivian collection for a sum of RM19,350 were bought in 1973. The decision was made from the meeting held on 5th April 1973 at Confrence Room of the library, Minden. The commitee chaired by Mr. Lim Huck Tee and the attendees were Prof. KJ Ratnam, Prof Robert Van Neil, Mr Paul Chang and Mr. A. Thomas Samy as secretary. Fortunate for us today, it was very good decision back then, and beneficial for a younger generation to enjoy and analyzefrom old master such as Latiff Mohideen, Ibrahim Hussein, Cheong Soo Peng, Syed Ahmad Jamal And much more.
