The ASEAN Science Film Festival 2010 received an overwhelmingly positive response from audiences! It was organized for the second time in Cambodia, with over 9,000 visitors and also took place for the first time in Indonesia reaching over 12,500 visitors and in Philippines reaching over 19,900 visitors. The total number for all ASEAN countries was 130,000 visitors in 2010! In 2011, Malaysia and Vietnam are participating for the first time in the Science Film Festival.
The ASEAN SCIENCE Film Festival as a regional event takes places concurrently in all participating countries under a unified conceptual and organizational framework that allow for local adaption to maximize its effectiveness in each nation. All film are translated and synchronized into the national language to provide the greatest possible access.
